Lumi MMI® Software Update
How to Update Your Lumi MMI® Software
In order to update your software properly, the first thing you need to do is find out which firmware your Lumi model requires.
-
Visit the Engineering Menu of the MMI® by clicking the CAR and BACK buttons on the console - and check the current firmware version
-
After selecting your Lumi model and region, you'll see all of the available firmware updates available for your Lumi.
-
Utilize a download manager for all the files - unpack the firmware using 7-Zip and put all the files on an SD card (NOTE: the card must be formatted to FAT32 file system)
-
Do not put the firmware and map update on the same card, as each update must be done separately
-
-
Install the Lumi firmware by going to the Engineering Menu in your MMI®, insert the SD card in slot 1, and select "Update"
-
Select the source (SD1), choose the firmware, and select "Standard" on the following screen. The MMI® update typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the file size
